I attended the Creating a Rigorous Digital Environment Training on January 25th and the Implementing the Bold School Framework for Strategic Blended Learning Training on March 1st. On February 12th I attended the Coaching Cycle Fishbowl Observation Experience. All 3 of these trainings have made a huge impact on my approach to planning, implementing in person PD, and how I work with teachers through the coaching cycle. All 3 trainings gave me useful tools to use to help plan Rigorous and Relevant lessons with teachers as well as how to identify what level of instruction that teachers are currently teaching using the rigor/relevance framework. After the training and the book study I have initiated the same book study with my Teacher Tech Leaders at the building. We have been using the Bold School Book Study Questions to guide our meetings. We currently meet once a month and we are in the process of completing the book and designing training sessions for our faculty for next year. I will be presenting the Promote Active Learning PD on April 30th. Part of my session will be using the Bold School Framework to help teachers identify effective teaching strategies to implement during their blended lessons.
